Expensive things bought by Mukesh Ambani in 2022

A New York hotel

Ambani-led Reliance Industrial Investments and Holdings Limited (RIIHL) purchased 73.4% of the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Manhattan, New York, in early 2022. The transaction was completed for a hefty US $98.15 million (about INR 2000 crores). This New York hotel, which has 248 rooms and suites, frequently hosts Hollywood celebrities.

A magnificent villa in Dubai

The business magnate spent $774 million (INR 640 crores) on an ultra-luxurious house in Dubai. He gave the mansion to his younger son, Anant Ambani. The 3,000-square-foot property sits on Palm Jumeirah. The villa has 10 bedrooms, an open kitchen, indoor and outdoor pools, a salon, a private spa, and a bar, to name a few amenities. Not only that, but the home has access to a 70-meter-long private beach.

Another Dubai estate

Ambani made another large real estate acquisition after gifting his son a magnificent residence in Palm Jumeirah. He paid US $163 million (about Rs 1350 crores) for a beachfront house. The home was once owned by the family of Kuwaiti business magnate Mohammed Alshaya.

 

A Rolls Royce Cullinan

This expensive SUV is owned by a very small number of people in India. Mukesh Ambani paid US $341 thousand (INR 13 crores) for the Rolls Royce Cullinan (petrol model) in February 2022. The Tuscan Sun color automobile is powered by a V12 engine that generates 564 horsepower. With this large purchase, Ambani additionally contributed INR 12 lakhs for a special number plate. RIL paid INR 20 lakhs in taxes for the transaction.
