The dreamy luxurious life of the Royal Saudi Arabia

Since 1932, the Saudi royal family has been the dominant leadership in Saudi Arabia. Over the years, they have established themselves as one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in the world. Their wealth is estimated to be 16 times greater than that of the British royal family, with a total asset value of $88 billion USD. The immense and endless source of wealth possessed by the royal family is reflected in their extravagant lifestyle, which has surprised many.

They own numerous palaces and mansions around the world. One notable example is the lavish Al Yamamah Palace, which serves as the residence and official office of the Saudi King, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Built in 1983 in the capital city of Riyadh, the 371,612 square meter palace is designed in the distinctive Najdi architectural style, with floors adorned with Italian marble and intricately carved ceilings and walls.

The Saudi royal family has a great appreciation for art and has spared no effort in acquiring valuable artworks, ranging from traditional Islamic art to world-renowned contemporary pieces. One particularly famous acquisition is Leonardo da Vinci’s legendary painting, “Salvator Mundi,” which was purchased by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for $450 million USD in an auction against wealthy Qataris. Another impressive artwork they own is Pablo Picasso’s “Les Femmes d’Alger,” which was acquired for $160 million USD in 2015.

In the realm of contemporary art, members of the royal family have purchased a series of famous pieces by artists such as Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, and Takashi Murakami.

They also own a multitude of luxurious yachts and private jets. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman owns the $400 million USD super-yacht called “Serene,” built by Italy’s Fincantieri shipyard, which has been ranked among the world’s top three largest yachts. This 134-meter yacht features a massive saltwater pool, two helipads, a snow room, children’s playrooms, and an underwater viewing room. The priceless painting, “Salvator Mundi,” is also displayed on this yacht.

On the other hand, Prince Abdulaziz has acquired his own $100 million yacht, equipped with luxurious amenities such as a gym, sauna, cinema, and swimming pool. The yacht is rumored to be equipped with air-defense missile systems and underwater surveillance.

The royal family also possesses a fleet of the most luxurious and advanced aircraft to cater to their travel needs. Among them, the colossal Boeing 747-400 stands out. Designed like a miniature palace in the sky, the world’s largest commercial aircraft features extravagant interiors, including luxurious seating, premium carpets, and exquisite artwork.

Furthermore, the royal family has even left behind a Boeing 747 Jumbo jet with spacious reception areas, multiple bedrooms, and numerous gold-plated bathrooms after only 16 uses (equivalent to 42 flying hours).

Their love for gold is evident in various aspects, including palace decorations, license plates, paintings, escalators, and even supercars. Saudi Arabian billionaire Prince Turki Bin Abdullah owns a $22 million USD car collection, which includes masterpieces like the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe, Mercedes jeep, Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce, and Bentley. Most of these cars have been gold-plated.

The media has caught members of the royal family cruising the streets of London (United Kingdom) in their gold-plated Lamborghini Aventador SV worth $1.2 million USD.

Despite their wealth, the Saudi royal family continues to expand their colossal asset base by establishing investment funds and engaging in various business ventures worldwide. The Public Investment Fund (PIF), currently valued at $620 billion, is under the control of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
