The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are believed to have stayed at The Cove in the Bahamas, an upscale neighborhood within the Atlantis Paradise Island resort.

The Cove, The Royal, The Reef, The Coral, and the Harborside Resort hotels are the five different hotels that make up the mega-resort. The pair spent just two nights at the former as they wrapped up their royal tour of the area, which had also included stops in Jamaica and Belize.

The 4,830 square foot penthouse room at The Cove, which costs £19,000 a night and sleeps eight, is where the Cambridges stayed instead of roughing it.

Last Thursday, the couple flew into the Bahamas, and they left on Saturday night.

The Cove is touted as Atlantis as “a sensorial retreat made for anyone looking to indulge in Bahamian splendor,” with butler service, four multi-level pools, and seaplane arrivals upon request.

According to the resort’s website, “The Cove is an elegant hotel perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway all the way to families in need of a relaxing oasis.”

The three-bedroom penthouse apartment features a dining area with 10 seats, a chandelier made of Murano glass, and sea views.

According to sources who spoke to the media, Prince William and his wife had a wonderful time during their brief vacation at the opulent Bahamian retreat.”The beaches offered us tempting lures. Amazing scenery. The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly informed fellow guests that they needed to return the next time with the kids, according to Hello! magazine.

It was fantastic, she continued. I would have liked to remain longer.

The Daily Mail purportedly received the following statement from an anonymous source: “They said they have FaceTimed their children to show them the views, which blew them away, and that they can’t wait to come back with them.”

“I hope William will be able to share with his family the same happy memories that his mother shared with him.”

With his mother Princess Diana and brother Prince Harry, Prince William traveled to the Bahamas in 1993.

Following the Caribbean tour, which was dominated by anti-crown rallies, the prince today referred to such royal overseas appearances as “an opportunity to reflect.”

The statement came after the future king said on Friday that the UK would support any decision by Jamaica, Belize, or the Bahamas to secede from the British monarchy with “pride and respect.” He added that the tour had brought “sharper focus questions about the past and the future.”

The prince recognized that the monarchy’s days in those countries may be numbered as he said the future “is for the people to decide upon” as their eight-day journey through the three Caribbean islands came to a conclusion at the weekend.
