Timothée Chalamet Acquires Kate Upton’s Beverly Hills Residence for $11M

Timothée Chalamet has emerged as the purchaser of model Kate Upton and baseball player Justin Verlander’s luxurious Beverly Hills property. Known for his notable performances in films like Dune, Little Women, and Call Me By Your Name, the Academy Award-nominated actor acquired the 5,521 square-foot East Coast traditional-style home for $11 million, as reported by Dirt.

Situated on a secure 1.5-acre gated plot above Benedict Canyon, the four-bedroom, five-bathroom residence was originally built in 1976 but has undergone remodeling to incorporate modern elements. Upton and Verlander oversaw a comprehensive renovation of the eat-in kitchen, which now boasts a sprawling marble-topped island and a charming breakfast nook. While the couple made minimal changes to the rest of the house, their updates increased the property’s value significantly from the $5.3 million they purchased it for in 2016.

The interior features include a formal dining room, a temperature-controlled wine storage room, and a living room adorned with an expansive fireplace. The family room showcases a candle-style chandelier, complemented by white oak floors, white paneled walls, and a matching white vaulted ceiling adorned with contrasting charcoal gray exposed beams. Outside, a brick terrace, plunge pool with a connected spa, rose gardens, and a tennis court enhance the property’s appeal.

Chalamet, a native of New York City and an alumnus of Columbia and NYU, divides his time between the coasts, maintaining an apartment in Manhattan alongside his newly acquired Los Angeles residence. The home has previously hosted a variety of famous occupants, including Kenny G, Hollywood producer Jon Peters, and tennis player Pete Sampras, who reportedly made daily use of the tennis courts. Meanwhile, Upton and Verlander appear to have shifted their primary residence to Florida, where they purchased a $6 million mansion in Palm Beach County last year.
