Explore the Splendor of Kilcare House: An Australian Beach House Designed to Uplift Your Mood

The Killcare home in New South Wales’ Bouddi National Park is a pleasant alternative to the prevalent minimalist type. Australian beach home designs are noted for their laid-back and cozy aesthetics. The creator and managing director of Decus Interiors, Alexandra Donohoe Church, explains that her customers wanted to design an elegant beach house that was both unique and refined with a casual, barefoot elegance. They were anxious to incorporate richness, texture, and references to the stunning European farm homes and chateaux they had seen while traveling.

The interior decor of the homes is lavishly expressive and is inspired by the surroundings. Dark woods, black steel paneling, marble, along with the integration of leather and hand-blown glass, are just a few of the opulent finishes that give the home a sense of grandeur that is uncommon in beach house designs. The stone upstand in the kitchen, which hides plenty of storage, is one example of how little elements were utilised to create a tidy and uncluttered appearance, according to Alexandra. This is then countered by softer, lighter features like the flooring, wall color, and stone, as well as, of course, the ample natural light.
