To Replace His Destroyed Starship, Elon Musk Will Spend $2 Billion

SpaceX creator Elon Musk has allegedly put $2 billion into creating a new rocket, proving that he is not deterred by the company’s recent mishaps.

A spaceship launched by SpaceX on April 20th, 2018 unfortunately disintegrated soon after liftoff. Minutes after liftoff, the Super Heavy booster allegedly failed to detach from the spacecraft, leading to the explosion.

Elon went on to compliment SpaceX on the result, despite the fact that the explosion was widely seen as a failure. The billionaire wrote, “Congrats @SpaceX team on an exciting test launch of Starship!” Lots of information gathered for the next test flight in a few months.

Elon Musk is said to be preparing the launch of a second spaceship later this year. On Saturday, he revealed his ambitions on a Twitter platform accessible exclusively to paying customers, noting that the debut in April had gone “slightly” better than anticipated.

“The outcome was roughly in what I expected, and maybe slightly exceeding my expectations, but roughly what I expected, which is that we would get clear of the pad,” Elon wrote.

The businessman went on to say that despite the new rocket’s $2 billion price tag, he had no intention of seeking outside funding. It seems that the billionaire will be funding it himself with SpaceX.

We don’t believe we’ll need to go out and raise money at this time, he added.

Elon also said that SpaceX would have a rocket in orbit within the next year, and that he expects the second rocket to launch before the end of 2023. He predicted that there was a “near 100% chance” of achieving orbit in less than a year.

Critics of SpaceX and Elon’s space exploration have raised concerns about the quantity of resources used in rocket launches and the potential harmful effects on the environment.

The millionaire, though, stands by his lofty endeavors. Given the devastation done to Earth by pollution and climate change, he has suggested that his space expedition was the key to rescue mankind.

It has been rumored, however, that Elon has been experiencing financial troubles ever since spending $44 billion on the November purchase of Twitter. Elon lost his title of world’s wealthiest person not long after the takeover and has since revealed that the social media platform is losing millions of dollars every day.

However, Elon is still certain that he will soon get a rocket in space and that he would need outside support to pay for his newest $2 billion starship.
