Discover the Allure of a Floating Jumbo Jet: Unveiling the Innovative 230-Foot Superyacht

Is it an animal? Is that a jet? No, it’s the new 230-foot superyacht Jet 2020 from Codecasa, which features an aviation-inspired design. The Italian shipyard’s most recent design exemplifies cross-pollination design in the twenty-first century.

The 230-foot vessel, scheduled to commence construction later this year, will become the shipyard’s new flagship. Fulvio Codecasa, who has owned the shipyard in Viareggio for the past four decades, is the creator of this initiative. In fact, the Codecasa family has been in the boat-building industry since 1825.

Although the shipyard is renowned for its custom designs, the Jet 2020 is unlike any vessel it has ever constructed. By applying aircraft lines to the hull of a yacht, Codecasa aims to set “a unique example” that will spark a trend.

The yacht’s convex forward section and cockpit-like steering station are aeronautical design elements. The central portion of the superstructure resembles a fuselage with a sundeck, while the rear rises to resemble an aircraft’s tail. According to Codecasa, the primary benefit of this form inspired by aviation is its large internal volume, which they describe as “huge.”

Possibly the most elegant section of the yacht is the aft beach club at sea level. It is equipped with a lift and connected to a sky lounge. With floor-to-ceiling windows in the main salon and dining room, the views will be unparalleled. A helipad is located on the roof, allowing the proprietors to experience actual flight. A double tender area resembling a jet engine is located along the side of the vessel when heading ashore.

The owner’s suite is located in the bow section of the main platform. Four guest cabins are located on the lower platform. The sundeck is a mammoth 66 feet by 33 feet and features a covered gym, sunbathing pads, and a 20-foot recess pool for those who wish to maximise their outdoor time.

While the majority of the yacht’s technical specifications have yet to be disclosed, Codecasa reports that the Jet2020 will have aviation-inspired tech features, such as radar antennas installed in a carbon-fiber superstructure. He stated that they will be designed “in the style of the typical AWACS aircraft,” the Boeing E-3 Sentry.

The Jet2020 will be constructed according to Lloyds and MCA specifications, allowing it to be registered under the most prestigious international certification flags.
