Even though June was such a long time ago, I still remember when the Utility Platform 40 was unveiled and the Italians at Antonini Navi celebrated their achievement. The Utility structure 40 is a modular steel structure upon which the UP40 Explorer superyacht idea is built.

If you’re into sailing and luxury yachts, you may recognize the name Fulvio de Simoni, who collaborated on the design of the UP40 Explorer.

Fulvio de Simoni said that the initiative’s use of the shared UP40 platform and competition from other possibilities made it difficult to succeed.

The plan was to create a ship that offered all the conveniences of home, was reliable and secure like a military vessel, and could be substantially modified for lengthy voyages and vacations.

Antonini Navi’s newest yacht proposal, inspired by the shipyard’s offshore patrol vessel designs, has angular, aggressive lines and an elevated superstructure reminiscent of North Atlantic tugboats.

This amazing vessel will come in two different styles, the Classic Explorer and the Sports Explorer, and will cater to your every want.

A technological area for tenders, submersibles, and water sports is planned for the Classic Explorer’s 60 square meter elevated deck. There are loungers and a sun pad in the ship’s aft part, while the pilothouse is designed in a military manner.

The Sports Explorer variant, in contrast, seems to have drawn inspiration from military ships. Owner’s quarters are a scorching 65 meters in length, nevertheless.

In order to put this ship through her paces in severe weather, Antonini Navi worked with the Maritime Research Institute of the Netherlands (MARIN).
