They rebuilt the whole inside using famous interior designers and imported furnishings from throughout the globe, including the Netherlands.
The couple didn’t intend to sell until Rayni and Branden Williams from Beverly Hills Estate expressed interest. The Weeknd instantly liked the place after touring it. Oerlemans was represented by the Williams, while The Weeknd was represented by Beverly Hills Estate agent Angel Salvador. The off-market acquisition cost $70 million, many times what the couple paid.
