Steph Curry’s $31M Atherton Mansion: A Glimpse of Family Celebrations

The public just recently heard that Stephen “Steph” Curry sold his California “dream home,” a mansion in the exclusive Silicon Valley community of Atherton, in ееt last September. The point guard for the Golden State Warriors purchased the mansion in June 2019 for $29.9 million, and according to public records, the estate was sold for $31.2 million.

Forrest Li, a Singaporean billionaire, is the private bidder, according to public documents. Singapore-based Sea is a video game and e-commerce firm known for its wildly popular Free Fire title and Shopee platform; its founder, chairman, and group CEO, Li, is a Chinese national and Stanford MBA graduate. According to Bloomberg, Li lost over $18 billion in value due to the decline in the technology industry this year. Nonetheless, he is still one of the richest businesspeople in China, with a fortune of almost $3 Billion.

Hidden behind gates at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, this modern stucco and glass building sits on a large, level lot with an irregular form. The multi-winged home, constructed in 2019 on spec by local builder Joe Comartin of Woodlane Properties and designed by Ken Linsteadt Architects, includes four bedrooms and six bathrooms spread across more than 7,500 square feet of open-concept living space.

The fact that the exchange was conducted in secret means that little facts and images are available. The three-story home is not seen in the drawings or articles, but it seems to include a formal living room, a dining room, and a gourmet kitchen with an adjacent eating area. The pool is encircled by a sundeck, and there is a pavilion with a fireplace and a built-in BBQ on the Studio Green-landscaped grounds. There is also a small separate guesthouse and a three-car garage with a loft for extra living space.

Although it is uncertain whether Curry and his TV personality/entrepreneur wife Ayesha have purchased a new permanent property in California, they did purchase a summer home in the affluent Winter Park community outside of Orlando.
