Unique spiral-shaped Nautilus Eco Resort in the Philippines

The Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio were used to create the 12 eye-catching spiral towers at Nautilus Eco Resort, which were inspired by the morphology and structure of living species and endemic ecosystems. As the towers rotate 360 degrees in the direction of the sun, natural light enters the room throughout the day.

In particular, as they revolve around the main pillar, hotel structures will also rise and fall. Some rooms even sink beneath the water if they go unoccupied. Additionally, certain tourists can enjoy the sun’s rays all day long because the towers face the sun.

This is Vincent Callebaut Architectures’ design proposal to help the Philippines’ coastal environment be revitalized. The Nautilus Eco resort is capable of hosting more than 500 visitors. To ensure an experience that encourages nature conservation, scientists, engineers, and ecologists will also be present at Nautilus Eco.
