‘GREAT DAD’: Drake decided to buy a nature-inspired mansion worth $65M for his beloved son right after special occasion

Pop singer Aubrey “Drake” Graham, the newest resident of Trousdale Estates in Beverly Hills, has sent the neighborhood into a frenzy.

Drake, who has spent the last ten years living in the gated community of Hidden Hills, an hour northwest of downtown Los Angeles, looks to be short-term residing in the 90210. Could there be a permanent relocation on the horizon? When The Weeknd already did it, why shouldn’t Drake follow suit?

The native Canadian’s infatuation with lavish dwellings is well known.

His Hidden Hills estate consists of three connected homes, while his Toronto residence is said to be 50,000 square feet. This year, the renowned architecture company SAOTA built the similarly luxurious Beverly Hills rental property from scratch. The dining area is surrounded by a semi-subterranean courtyard, a 20-foot stone waterfall, and a 15-person crew who used a crane to move a 15-foot-tall olive tree from Italy and set it in place. An exterior moat is where the waterfall emerges.

All of this drma comes at a great cost. The house was marketed as a “natural” home because of the finishes and design, which incorporate natural elements like the waterfall and olive tree as the focal point. Despite having a name, “Elementi,” the home is no longer for sale, therefore it’s not known how much Drake is paying to stay there.

The half-acre property, which is situated on a notable Trousdale hill, last sold for $15 million in 2014, according to public records. The current property was constructed specifically for its owner, an LLC linked to Wng Zhongjun, a billionaire Chinese film director and art collector, by Luxford Investment Group, an upscale development firm led by realtor Michael Chen.

Drake is content with his new digs based on the Instagram photos and “stories” he posts from the modern palace. A separate “catering” kitchen with Viking appliances, a sinuously curved spiral staircase, a movie theater, custom Minotti furniture, and an entirely custom kitchen with costly Gaggenau appliances and a marble island are all features of the 18,000-square-foot house.

The private owner’s apartment features two bathrooms constructed of rare species of marble, a store-sized closet/dressing area, and a 400 square foot private terrace with a jacuzzi that appears to be suspended above the hillside below.
