Mike Tyson’s Ferrari F50: A $5.5 Million Supercar

Gooding & Company will hold an auction in Pebble Beach on the 19th and 20th, and the Ferrari F50 that heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson formerly had is expected to sell for between $4.5 and $5.5 million.

Finished on February 13, 1996, this F50 has the chassis number 104220. It’s one of just 55 pieces ever made, and it’s finished in the classic Rosso Corsa color.

According to the auction company, Ferrari North America sent the vehicle to Beverly Hills Sports Car, where broker Nadir Amirvand made the transaction. Mike Tyson bought it shortly after, then in 2001 he and Kevin Marcus, who co-founded Infospace, sold it to a company called Park Place Ltd.

In the 20 years afterwards, the car has passed through the collections of many enthusiasts. The current owner had extensive maintenance performed on the car by Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale in May. This included replacing the clutch and tires, adjusting the front suspension, and fixing the air conditioning. In June of 2022, the Alcantara paneling inside was recovered, and it was recertified for the Ferrari Classiche Red Book. More than $75,000 has been poured into the car over the previous six months.

Included in the sale of this renowned Ferrari are the detachable roof, toolkit, bulbkit, tireinflatorkit, owner’s manual, warrantybook, original window decal, vehicle cover, emergency softtop, factory presentation book, and baggage. The vehicle’s odometer shows only 6,193 miles (or 9,966 kilometers) driven.
