Exploring Zlatan Ibrahimović’s Lavish 34m Benetti Unknown Yacht

Italian shipbuilder Benetti revealed the second hull of their renowned Oasis 34M series, Unknown. In 2022, Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimović received the 34.3-meter sailboat, which debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

BOATPro reports that the Oasis 34M has sold thirteen units since January 2022, with four scheduled for 2023.

The model follows the popularity of its smaller sibling, the Oasis 40M, with the same design team, concepts, and emphasis on mixing internal and external areas for “informal” lifestyles.

British studio RWD designed the yacht’s vertical bow, futuristic lines, and Benetti’s characteristic Oasis Deck, a tiered, open-air sun salon instead of a beach club. Automotive features impacted the yacht’s appearance, with stylish silver trim on her main and upper decks.

Bonetti/Kozerski, located in New York, designed Unknown’s interior for “understated” luxury with rich craftsmanship. Parquet on the main and upper decks matches the outside teak, and porcelain-colored leather trim matches the warm tones of the ribbed walnut wall panels.

The design team created open-plan rooms on the yacht’s three decks to maximize water connection. Curved lines evoke ocean waves, and bleached Canaletto wood draws attention away from the surroundings.

The curving glass doors linking to the cockpit open entirely to connect the eating room to the outdoors, giving the main saloon enormous vistas. A squashy sofa opposite a cinema-style TV screen fronts the eating space, making the saloon versatile. With the wheelhouse forward, the top deck has an alternate living area amidships.

Ten visitors may stay in five cabins and seven staff members in four. The owner’s stateroom sits aft on the main deck, with two doubles and two twins below.

Unknown’s Oasis Deck is strategically planned as a waterfront lounge. Unfolding gunwales on the main deck can accommodate loose sunloungers, and a glass-edge infinity pool maintains the yacht’s sleek design while giving a premium area to soak up the sun.

The sundeck has a covered dining area, bar, and lounge seats for outdoor enjoyment. The foredeck includes a spacious sunpad and Portuguese bridge for relaxation.

The yacht’s vertical bow improves efficiency, with a peak speed of 16 knots and an average cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of 2,700 nautical miles. Benetti says the transatlantic line is “a highly reliable product that meets the real needs of life on board and maintains its beauty with passing time”.
