Discover 150 Yacht Support With a Nifty Fold-Out Garage

The popularity of support vessels may change thanks to Ultimate Catamarans.

Recently, the German shipyard unveiled a modern, multihull boat that combines form and function. The 150-footer, dubbed simply 150 Yacht Support, is based on the Spaceline design philosophy of founder Ralph Wuttke, which advocates for effective aluminum construction, spacious interiors, and premium finishes.

The exterior of the 150YS, which was created by Laura Pomponi of Luxury Projects and Hans Konings of KYC Yacht Consultancy, is energetic and has straight lines from bow to stern. The newcomer has 4,300 square feet of storage space on the main deck that can be used to store everything from four-wheelers to tenders because she was built to support a larger superyacht.

“We designed both the exteriors and interiors of the UC 150 YS with the precise aim of creating the perfect harmony between sports and operational performance with uncompromised elegance and comfort,” said Pomponi in a statement.

At the stern is a garage with a pop-up door that can be neatly closed when not in use. The doors in the forward garages also open vertically, making it simple to access and covertly store the toys and equipment inside. On the other side, you can completely display your cherished helicopter thanks to the touch-and-go helipad on the aft deck.

The outer and interior design can also be changed for clients, according to the yard. Four staterooms for up to eight guests, crew quarters for up to 15 people, and an opulent waiting salon on the bridge deck are all included as standard equipment.

Pomponi continues, “With regard to interior design, we developed a modular high-end design that enables extreme personalization with a variety of materials from which the owners can choose. Each component of the palette was selected with the project’s performance in mind while also aiming to create a cozy and welcoming ambiance.

The 150YS can travel 5,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 18 knots and can reach a top speed of 20 knots. The yard claims that the cat uses very little fuel. She can be equipped with solar panels as well to produce more clean, green energy.

One person called the Ultimate Catamarans 150YS a “game-changer.” Whether that will influence the course of the section remains to be seen. But the newcomer at least shows that support vessels can give the sea its own unique flair.
