Take a Tour of Chris Evans’ Stunning $3.5 Million Laurel Canyon Home

Fans were overjoyed this week at the prospect of seeing Chris Evans return as Captain America, but Evans quickly put the rumors to rest when he tweeted that the news was “news to him.”

Evans, now 39, reaffirmed his intention to leave behind Captain America after 11 films in order to have a family.

Instead of battling alongside Robert Downey Jr., Evans is in Boston with his dog Dodger and his brother Scott, selling his $3.52 million Los Angeles property he bought in 2013 and living in a modest apartment.

Being an introvert, I don’t feel the need to go out of the house every day. “I’ve been spending most of my time in Boston’s quarantine reading books and playing with my dog, Dodger,” Evans told the Antwerp-based online magazine Het Laatste Nieuws in April.

This allegedly vacant Laurel Canyon mansion sits on almost an acre of land and has three bedrooms and four and a half baths. Built in 1940, it received extensive remodeling by Stewart-Gulrajani Designs before he bought it.

According to Realtor.com, the estate is gated and encircled by walls for solitude, yet it still has views of the city and valley. A listing on Redfin describes the home as having a “heated pool, spa, fire pit, two fireplaces, two master bedrooms, a staff room, and a gourmet chef’s kitchen.”

His $75 million career in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which started with his famous depiction of Captain America in the successful 2011 Marvel film, prompted him to purchase the home a few years later, as reported by Celebrity Net Worth. Evans has a home in the Hollywood Hills that he purchased for $1.26 million, and he also has a Boston flat.
