Tom Cruise’s Mountain Retreat Hits the Market for $39.5 Million

Tom Cruise’s Colorado Mountain house is perfect for hiding from nosy eyes. The 320-acre private property includes a mile-long road surrounded by aspen woodland and a controlled entrance. Despite being less than 15 minutes from Telluride, most locals have never seen the mansion or its A-List owner.

Cruise has reportedly failed to sell the house despite its stunning vistas and solitude, which would undoubtedly attract celebrities. The Colorado complex is again on the market for $39.5 Million.

“Luxury Meets Legend” – Cruise’s Mountain Compound

Cruise has reportedly failed to sell the house despite its stunning vistas and solitude, which would undoubtedly attract celebrities. The Colorado complex is again on the market for $39.5 Million.

The ranch-style home is in Telluride, Colorado. The 1994 mansion was designed by Cruise and constructed to his specifications. The 11,512-square-foot residence contains seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, two fireplaces, a spa, a fitness center, and a guest house with three bedrooms. The grounds include a sports court, dirt bike, snow mobile course, and hiking paths.

The major appeal is land. The driveway is nearly a mile. Eric Lavey of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty told House Beautiful, “The privacy is outrageous, and it’s five to nine minutes from downtown and the slopes.”

According to Dan Dockray of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, Cruise soft advertised the home seven years ago for $59,000,000, according to the Denver Post. It is unclear why Cruise did not advertise the home then or why he is listing it now at a lower price. Dockray stated, “I think [Cruise] wasn’t ready yet, although I can’t speak for the seller’s reasons.”

In The Wall Street Journal, Cruise’s spokesperson didn’t reply to queries for comment on his motives for selling, but the listing agents said Cruise hasn’t been in the mountain property in a while.
