Seaffinity: The Maritime Marvel Inspired by Seagulls That’s Making Waves

The Seaffinity is a 45-meter super-streamlined trimaran idea designed by the French firm VPLP Design and influenced by “the world of sea birds.”

The aluminum “yacht of the future,” as the studio puts it, is powered by a hybrid engine that uses energy from hydrogen fuel cells. But the wind absorbed by Seaffinity’s two Oceanwing sails will be the major source of propulsion.

The firm uses the word “monolithic” to characterize the yacht’s external design. As a result, the studio claims that sailing on this boat is “a communion with its environment,” thanks to its eco-friendly propulsion.

Seaffinity is aimed towards “new customers” who aren’t concerned about reducing their “polluting” footprint by purchasing a traditional boat.

They wanted the studio to “share our vision of a new boat concept that is more in tune with nature and the environment,” the designers said.

The cabin has “deliberately reduced colors” so that the outside may be the main focus of the sailing adventure. The studio emphasized the significance of the atmosphere above the furnishings. “We didn’t want to make something that gets in the way of the sea’s natural beauty,” the artists write.

The vessel also has a draft of two meters and a beam of sixteen and a half meters.
