Lionel Messi’s New South Florida Waterfront Mansion: Elegance Personified

The South Florida area is now Lionel Messi’s! The professional footballer has purchased a new waterfront property in Fort Lauderdale’s exclusive and guard-gated Bay Colony neighborhood, adding to the at least three multimillion-dollar properties he previously owned in the Miami suburb of Sunny Isles Beach.

David Beckham has a stake in Major League Soccer team Inter Miami CF, where Lionel Messi has just signed a two-and-a-half-year, $150 million deal. The 36-year-old striker has just finished an impressive 17-year run with FC Barcelona and a two-year stint with Paris Saint-Germain FC. He also captained Argentina to a thrilling 4-2 victory against France in the 2022 World Cup last December. He has won the Ballon d’Or seven times.

The Real Deal was the first to discover that the soccer player and his wife Antonela Roccuzzo spent $10.75 million for a lavish two-story mansion near Inter Miami’s Drive Pink Stadium and the team’s neighboring training center in Fort Lauderdale. Samuel Simpkin and Donna Simpkin of Team Simpkin at Compass represented Messi in the transaction, while Jennifer Abbott of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty represented the sellers.

The home was constructed in 1988 and sold to John and Stacy Dickerson for $9 million in May of 2022. The home has about 10,500 square feet of living area, eight bedrooms, and ten bathrooms. Previously advertised as a “carefully curated modern waterfront estate,” this two-story home has 170 feet of riverfront on the Intracoastal Waterway, a pool with a waterfall, Baja shelf, and Jacuzzi, and two docks.
