Simon Cowell’s Previous Beverly Hills Estate Fetches Nearly $34 Million in Sale

During the height of the Covid-19 outbreak in the summer of 2020, Simon Cowell sold his Beverly Hills primary property for $25 million. Another off-market sale of the almost 1-acre property for $33.6 million three years later made headlines as one of the most expensive real estate transactions ever concluded south of Sunset Boulevard in the so-called Beverly Hills Flats region. The Real Deal was the first to report the newest deal.

Cowell paid just $8 million back in 2004 for the opulent home, which is in a prime position on the nicest block of a prominent neighborhood. The business tycoon spent five years and certainly many millions of dollars turning the house into a high-tech fortress with luxurious facilities such as a spa and a security system costing a million dollars.

In 2020, Cowell sold the home to Alon Abady, a Beverly Hills native and managing partner of Waterfall Bridge Capital, an investment business that specializes in commercial and residential real estate. Syailendra Bakrie, a businessman and scion of one of Indonesia’s richest families, purchased the property from Abady, 53, for a large sum of money. Adinda Bakrie, 43, has a younger sister named Adinda who just purchased a $21 million modern property in the Beverly Hills Flats.

Some of the interior furnishings of the Cowell estate are unknown since they have never been advertised for sale. However, the home has been featured in several publications thanks to the “America’s Got Talent” judge, and its interior has a striking black-and-white design scheme that is accentuated by the extensive use of marble and glass throughout. Nearly 10,000 square feet of living space includes at least five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

Solarium, movie theater, lap-lane pool, pool cabana with retractable roof, in-home tanning salon, state-of-the-art gym, two kitchens, wellness suite with spa, massage facilities, and steam room are just a few of the many amenities offered by this property. There are separate living quarters for the housekeeper and the butler, and the property is guarded 24/7 by a security team with access controlled via retina scan.

The estate’s exterior has a swimming pool, a separate pool house/guesthouse, lush grass, shady palm trees, and a street-facing façade hidden by beautiful native sycamores. There is enough room for at least six high-end automobiles in a guarded courtyard.
