Despite having a song called “I’m Not a Star,” Rick Ross is the newest inhabitant of Miami’s Star Island.
The “Hustlin” rapper, who was said to be interested in a waterfront estate on the exclusive island last month, finally closed on the property this week. The 40,000 square foot mega-mansion, which is situated close to the center of the celebrity-studded and guard-gated enclave, cost a whopping $35 million from Rozay. Numerous high rollers keep opulent homes here, including Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan, and billionaire Ken Griffen. It’s also impressive that the record executive was able to secure himself a prized piece of the Star Island pie given that there are only 30 homes on the island.
The Jills Zeder Group’s Jill Eber, along with Jill Hertzberg, Felise Eber, and Fabio Lopes, represented the seller. “We are so excited to have hit a high note in finding the right buyer for this spectacular property so quickly after listing it,” she said. There is only one Star Island, and we are confident that the buyer will be overjoyed to move into his new home on the coveted island. Ross was represented by Kimberly Knausz of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty and Tawanda Roberts of Florida Realty of Miami.

According to Knausz, “He fell in love with the grand entry right away; it has a very long driveway stretching towards the mansion that gives off an air of real luxury.” The home’s architecture, which is significantly different from the typical modern home and which he intends to improve, also played a role.
Six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and a generous 100 feet of water frontage on Biscayne Bay are included in the 12,374 square foot home. The Maybach Music Group founder will require far more space than the two-car garage that is currently available to fit all of his prized automobiles. Additionally, there is a 40-foot dock with an electrical and water pedestal for when he chooses to travel by boat. If he hasn’t already, he might end up getting that Lamborghini yacht after all.

The expansive swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, and enormous stone terrace should come in handy because the record executive is known for throwing his fair share of celebrity-filled parties. A glass-enclosed foyer, a living room with 30-foot ceilings and a custom mahogany fireplace, a media room, and a library are all featured inside the two-story estate. The chef’s kitchen is close by and has granite counters, high-end appliances, a butler’s pantry, and a separate breakfast room.
Ross obviously appreciates finer things in life, so it stands to reason that the main suite is fit for rap royalty. Imagine having wet bar, two walk-in closets, remote-controlled shutters, and two marble bathrooms.
