Acionna Unveiled: Andy Waugh Presents an Extraordinary 175m Concept Superyacht

Andy Waugh, a British designer, has shown a new concept for a 175-meter yacht he calls Acionna.

Waugh speculates that Acionna may include a helipad, an indoor swimming pool of 20 meters in length, and a full-size squash court (a homage to the highly appreciated padel tennis court on Aviva).

Waugh states that Acianna disproves numerous myths about boats of her size and is, therefore, the perfect megayacht for doing a circumnavigation. Her tall, stunning figure and impeccable taste in clothing further add to her visual impression.

Waugh claims that Acianna is the ideal megayacht for circumnavigating the globe and that she disproves many common beliefs regarding boats of her size. Her stature and elegance make her a sight to see, and her cutting-edge fashion sense just adds to the overall impact.

Instead of using batteries that need to be recharged like other electric cars, the Acionna will use a hydrogen propulsion system that will give it more range. The boat may also be “zero-impact” if hydrogen is produced using renewable energy. However, only a small number of marine hydrogen facilities are presently under construction.

“The concept is for those who see themselves as trendsetters and game-changers, those who appreciate the pinnacle of luxury but also wish to make a positive impact,” Waugh said.

Andy Waugh is known for his innovative sailboat designs, such as the 45-meter Revolution and the 90-meter Nouveau.
