Step Aboard Grace Kelly’s Luxurious 147-Foot Honeymoon Superyacht: A Glimpse Inside After a Lavish Makeover

Have you ever dreamed of exploring the Galápagos Islands on a royal yacht? Get assistance from Quasar Expeditions. The historic honeymoon yacht of Princess Grace Kelly was recently refurbished by the boutique cruise line in preparation for expeditions in the world-famous archipelago.

The 147-foot Camper & Nicholsons-built yacht was a wedding present from Aristotle Onassis to the American actress Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III in 1956. Before selling the luxurious yacht in 1958, the newlyweds sailed it along the shores of Corsica and Sardinia on their honeymoon. The yacht was brought in by Quasar Expeditions in 2007 and given the name Grace at that time. Although this team has renovated before, this was a major overhaul.

The eight staterooms with private bathrooms were renovated by Enrique Concha & Co., as were the ship’s bar and kitchen. The updated furniture and decor are modern yet inviting thanks to the inclusion of warm wood accents. In addition, there are modern technological additions like mood lighting and extra outlets and USB ports.

The Chilean design studio also recently opened a cafe for caffeine addicts and a clothing boutique stocked with items chosen by fashion insiders. Even Grace’s menu was reimagined to improve the dining out experience.

The increased outdoor space provides a better vantage point for seeing marine life like dolphins, whales, manta rays, and sea lions. The Galápagos are home to a variety of unique bird species, including the short-eared owl and the blue-footed booby.

Grace’s thrust has been improved, not just for looks. The yacht’s performance, comfort, and efficiency have all been upgraded thanks to brand new propulsion systems. You can now reach speeds of up to 15 knots with her, not that you’re in a rush or anything.
