Exploring the Lavish 50,000-Square-Foot Mansion in Farmington: Luxury Living, Helicopter Landing Pad, and Beyond

American rapper and businessman Curtis James Jackson III is best known by his stage name, 50 Cent. His massive Connecticut estate sold for $2.9 million not so long ago. Located around 80 miles from Greenwich, the luxurious mansion is about 50,000 square feet in size and is located near Farmington. The listing firm, Douglas Elliman, further emphasizes the property’s unique status in the state by noting that it includes a designated area for helicopter landings. The estate is said to be the embodiment of “opulence and luxury,” and it features an astonishing total of 19 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, and an indoor swimming pool. In addition to that, it has a room that can be used as a nightclub, an indoor basketball court, various game rooms, a room with a green screen, a recording studio, a full gym, a home theater, and a conference room.

Although 50 Cent worked tirelessly to sell this property for years, he was ultimately unsuccessful. The Wall Street Journal reports that the price at which it sold was 84% lower than the original asking price publicized for it 12 years ago. Zillow had displayed the property for rent at a monthly price of $100,000 before the sale.

A representative for 50 Cent said in a statement that the proceeds from the sale will be donated to the G-Unity Foundation, the name of the rapper’s non-profit. It’s worth noting that in 2003, 50 Cent paid Mike Tyson, a boxing icon, $4.1 million to buy the property from him.
