The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, and the city’s long past are the first things that people think of when they hear the name London. London is the main city of the UK and has a lot to offer. Its name comes from the River Thames, which flows right through it. The river is a big part of what makes London so special.

The Romans built this huge city and used it as a trade hub. Today, it reflects English culture. The towns that were around it are now part of this metropolis. Some of these places kept their own identities, but others lost them all and became one big area. All of them are now a part of London, the big city. 

Like most big towns around the world, London has its international airport. This links this big city to the rest of the world. Many people can manage to travel abroad because the prices are very low. But London today has many more things to offer. The Gherkin certainly jumps out in London’s skyline; it is one of the most impressive buildings in the city. It’s one of many new buildings that have been built here over the years. The historic government houses of the Parliament and St. Paul’s Cathedral are two other unique features. 

Things took place here. The kings and queens’ lives, the Norman invasion, and World War II all left their marks. So, all over the city, you can see churches, monuments, houses, and other things that are left over from the past. This place has a certain charm because of all the old houses. The most interesting places to see are the London Eye, the Great Museum, Buckingham Palace, and the Houses of Parliament. Even though things move quickly and look modern, these buildings add a bit of class and glitz.
