Mount Wilson (left of centre) is the highest point in the San Miguel Mountains, which are part of the San Juan Mountains in the southwest of Colorado. Gladstone Peak is one of Colorado’s 100 highest peaks. Lizard Head Peak can be seen in front of Gladstone Peak. It is made up of the remains of a volcano, which is how the Lizard Head Wilderness got its name.
