A six-bedroom Moraga Estates property listed for $14.5 million was once home to a Los Angeles Lakers player. The 10,000 square foot gated community is also for sale by the seller, Compass salesperson Nancy Ellin. The home has six bedrooms, a locker room with walls covered in autographs from previous NBA players, and an indoor basketball court.

Ellin made a number of opulent upgrades to the home after purchasing it in 2004. After extensive renovations, the house now has marble, bespoke cabinets, high-end equipment, and Moroccan/Spanish design features that were influenced by our trips, Ellin tells Mansion Global. It’s a wonderful place to celebrate and a genuinely unique place to live. Great grounds include a fire pit, pool, built-in BBQ, and wide brick patio.

The grandiose lobby of the three-story house has a grand staircase and wide wood plank flooring that was specifically made for the space. A magnificent formal dining room with custom built-ins and a silver leaf soffit ceiling is accessible from the first floor.

The spacious living area is close to the family room, which features a wood-burning fireplace and a seating rotunda in the Moroccan style. A unique chef’s kitchen with marble countertops, a seating island, and a butler’s pantry is next door. French doors that open to the garden on three sides of a spacious breakfast room let in lots of natural light.

The main chamber is the larger of the two stories. It features a balcony, a fireplace, and a sitting area. The all-white master bathroom is chic and modern. It features a Jacuzzi tub and a steam shower. The third floor has a guest bedroom, a bathroom, three kid-sized bunk beds, and a sizable, fully equipped gym. Johnson, as you may have imagined, has a specially constructed indoor basketball court. You can peek at how your buddies behave through a window in the playing area if you would merely like to observe.
