The newest Trousdale Estates homeowner in Beverly Hills, pop sensation Aubrey “Drake” Graham, has the entire neighborhood in a frenzy. Drake appears to be renting a short-term apartment in the 90210 after ten years of residence in the gated neighborhood of Hidden Hills, which is located one hour northwest of downtown Los Angeles. Will this be a long-term relocation? It was recently done by The Weeknd, so why wouldn’t Drake do the same?

The native Canadian is well known for his obsession with opulent homes. His 50,000 square foot Toronto home is said to be part of an estate in Hidden Hills that consists of three connected homes. This year, the equally opulent rental property in Beverly Hills was created speculatively by the esteemed architecture firm SAOTA. An olive tree that was brought in from Italy that was fifteen feet tall was carefully planted by a team of fifteen people using a crane. The tree is surrounded by a twenty-foot stone cascade, a semi-subterranean patio, and the dining area. The waterfall is formed by a moat around it.

There is a high cost associated with all of this turmoil. Because of the natural elements incorporated into the finishing and architecture, such as the waterfall and the main olive tree, the house was advertised as a “natural” home. Despite the name “Elementi,” it is unclear how much Drake is paying to live there because it is not for sale at this time.

Per public records, the half-acre property, which is situated on a prominent hilltop in Trousdale, was last sold for $15 million in 2014. Luxford Investment Group, an upscale construction company led by real estate agent Michael Chen, built the current property on spec for the home’s owner, an LLC connected to affluent Chinese film producer and art collector Wđng Zhongjun.

From the looks of his Instagram photographs and “stories” from the contemporary castle, Drake appeared happy in his new home. The custom Minotti furnishings, all-custom Gaggenau appliances, separate “catering” kitchen with Viking appliances, movie theater, and marble island are all features of the 18,000-square-foot home.

The apartment of the private owner features two exotic species of marble bathrooms, a 400-square-foot private balcony with a jacuzzi that looks as though it is hung over the hillside below, and a closet/dressing area the size of a shop.
