Butrón Castle, lost in the land of the maze

I met Xabier Ormaetxea online after starting this page. In 1996, I went to the Basque Country with Xabier, and he took me to see Butrón Castle. At that time, it was open to the public, and people dressed in period clothes greeted us and showed us around the castle. It really amazed me because I haven’t seen anything like that in the United States, especially in the west. People haven’t been able to go inside since then, but they can still visit the grounds. I took my family with me a few times to show them. We looked through the small windows whenever we could.
