Torres del Paine National Park is in the very south of Chile. It is one of eleven parks that protect the Patagonia region, Magallanes, and the Chilean part of Antarctica. There are four protected places. One of them is a national park, and it covers 700.43 square miles (1,814.1 square km).

In the north, Bernardo O’Higgins National Park is right next door, and in the north, Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina is right next door. Glaciers, lakes, mountains, and rivers make up the national park’s beautiful scenery.

The park’s main feature is the Paine mountain range, which has three stunning granite peaks that line up in a row to make the beautiful Torres del Paine. The three highest points are called Torres d’Agostini, Torres Central, and Torres Monzino, and they are more than 8,200 feet (2,500 m) tall.

Lakes and glaciers make the valley scenery look even better. The most important lakes are Grey, Pehoe, Nordenskiold, and Sarmiento. The most important glaciers are Grey, Pingo, and Tyndall. The main river that flows through the national park is the Paine River.

It’s called the French Valley (Valle del Frances), the Bader Valley (Valle Bader), the Ascension Valley (Valle Ascencio), and the Valley of Silence (Valle del Silencio).
